Introducing ARC - a Creator Agreement for the AI Era

Team Atelico

At Studio Atelico, we believe the future of AI in games should be shaped together with artists, through clear and fair agreements. In an environment where creative work is often used without credit, compensation, or clear boundaries by AI companies, we’ve been working to build a contract framework that is transparent, consent‑based, and meaningfully artist‑friendly.

Over the past months we have been developing ARC - the Artist Rights Contract - a Creator Agreement framework that turns our principles on ethical, consent‑based AI into something practical. This builds directly on the ideas we shared in our earlier essay on making game AI without losing your soul

Today, we’re sharing ARC as a draft and want your help in shaping its final form. Our goal is to start an open conversation about what fair, modern collaboration between studios and artists can look like, particularly when AI and model training are involved.

What makes this framework different:

If you are an artist, we especially want to hear from you. What feels fair. What does not? What is missing? What should be different?

We’re sharing this early because we want it to be shaped with the community, especially artists and creators. The process matters as much as the result: ethical AI in games has to be built together and in the open.
